Allah the Exalted said: “And We send down of the Qur’an that which is a healing and mercy for the believers.” (17:82).
Imam al-Sa’di (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “The Qur’an comprises healing and mercy, but this is not for everyone. It is only for those who believe in it, who believe in its ayat and who act upon it. The cure that the Qur’an contains is general, (comprising) the cure of the hearts from doubts, ignorance, corrupt ideas, evil deviations and evil intentions. It contains certain (definitive) knowledge by which every doubt and ignorance is ended, and admonitions and reminders by which every desire opposing Allah’s command is ended. [And it comprises] the cure of the bodies from its ailments and sicknesses.”
Within the Qur’an is treatment and healing for magic and the evil eye, such as Surah al-Fatihah, Ayat al-Kursi, the Mu’awwidhatayn (al-Falaq, al-Nas) and many other ayat. The book in your hands is a compilation of various surahs and ayat that are either legislated in the Sunnah or shown to be helpful in treating magic and the evil eye through experience.
